Safety

In an emergency, call your local emergency number. Missing Book is a community platform, not a rescue or law-enforcement service.

Report a tip about an FBI case

  • Call the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).
  • Submit online at tips.fbi.gov.
  • Use the tip line printed on the official alert whenever one is listed.

Report a missing person locally

  • Contact the local police department where the person was last seen — there is no 24-hour waiting period in the US.
  • For children, also contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

Report something on Missing Book

Every post has a "Report" option in its menu. Use it to flag inaccurate information, harassment, privacy violations, or spam. Our team reviews reports and takes action based on our Community Guidelines.
